Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. CEO Ann Sarnoff reaffirmed the studio’s commitment to the movie-going experience. She specifically called out Christopher Nolan’s next film Tenet as a “tentpole title” that is pegged for the big screen once it is safe for audiences to return to theaters.

We remain supportive of the theatrical experience and our exhibition partners, and are confident that our tentpole titles, including Tenet and Wonder Woman 1984, are exactly the type of films that will have people eager to return to theaters,” said Sarnoff.

Warner Bros big 2020 releases include Wonder Woman 1984 set for August 14 while Christopher Nolan’s film Tenet is still on course for a July 17 opening if theaters reopen by that date. With some states looking to lift restrictions, it could also lead to theater chains reopening in small doses.

For now, audiences following stay at home orders have a bottomless well of content to keep entertained while they continue to distance and wash their hands.
