With sweeping protesting taking place in all 50 states and parts of the world, the conversations of race equality and excessive police violence are increasing in spotlight. This Saturday, CNN and Sesame Street will hold another virtual town hall “STANDING UP TO RACISM”.

As with their Coronavirus town hall, families can submit their questions to be answered by community leaders and officials here. Parents are having a harder time shielding the eyes of their children from the protesting and outrage being shown on the news, but those bubble tactics are becoming relics of the past. Nickelodeon recently aired a somber toned “I Can’t Breathe” PSA on its network in memory of George Floyd. A commercial which outraged many parents, but just as with Covid-19 this is a safety issue for everyone. It’s time to have conversations with your children about the systems of society that are causing millions worldwide to take action.

CNN and Sesame Street “A Town Hall Against Racism” will stream Saturday morning at 10AM EST on CNN, CNN International and CNN en Español. It will stream live on CNN.com’s homepage and across mobile devices via CNN’s apps, without requiring a cable log-in.
