This morning, CNN and Sesame Street once again partnered for an important conversation children ages 1-100 should view. The beloved childrens characters tackled the difficult task of explaining racism and the current outrage felt by millions to kids who don’t understand why people are angry and taking to the streets.

The event saw Elmo, Big Bird, along with neighbors Maria and Gordon talking with experts on what we can do to have vital conversations with kids about what being anti-racist means. You can view the entire town hall at this link.

Not all streets are like Sesame Street…I join others in saying maybe they should be. Watch the Town Hall with your kids and older relatives, it might be the most important thing you watch as a family this year.
