Day one of San Diego Comic-Con 2022 featured presentations from Capcom and Warner Bros showing off new content from some highly anticipated games.

Capcom presented a new trailer for Resident Evil Village Gold Edition and the highly anticipated Winters’ Expansion DLC for the award-winning eighth main installment of the survival horror series. The latest footage provides a closer look at “The Mercenaries Additional Orders,” which introduces new playable characters, more stages, and additional improvements to the beloved fast-paced action mode. New footage shown features Lady Dimitrescu looming large over enemies in this action-packed mode, where she brings her nine-foot stature to bear against any Lycans or other foes unfortunate enough to cross her path. In combat, Lady Dimitrescu builds a Thrill meter by slicing adversaries to ribbons with her razor-sharp talons. This allows her to perform special actions like slamming down hostiles or summoning her daughters. RE Village Gold and The Winters Expansion ala carte will be available Oct. 28, 2022 for PlayStation5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation4, Xbox One, and Steam.

WB Games Montreal showed off new footage from the upcoming Gotham Knights, a game where you play as either Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, or Robin. This Gotham without a Batman is looking more and more intriguing. During SDCC, Court Of Owls co-creator Scott Snyder joined the panel to discuss his influence on the mystery group the four heroes will be trying to take down this fall.

The panel focused on Batgirl’s combat style which utilizes new nunchuck-style weaponry and wrist blasters. One of the biggest new bits of info on the game was the panel highlighting the ways in which Gotham Knights’ dialogue and tone will differ depending on which of the four characters is being played, with narrative director Anne Lemay mentioning that WB Montreal did custom dialogue all throughout the game throughout each of their levels and cinematics, and all four choose to fight crime differently.

Gotham Knights will be available October 25 for Xbox x/s, Playstation 5, and PC.
