On Monday, after a full day of media presentations, from small tech startups to giant tech conglomerates it’s apparent that artificial intelligence will become more integrated in the mass consumer experience. A.I was on the lips of every communications manager and CEO today as every company is finding ways to integrate it into everyday household items. Several of the big tech giants are even looking at how A.I will shape the home entertainment experience.
PANASONIC
During today’s Panasonic presentation, the company showed off several innovations even in a new misting technology that utilizes special compounds that use less water to create effects such as fog. The tech also has applications for mass crowd cooling such as in concerts or theme parks. Two new flagship OLED TVs for 2024, the Z95A (65” and 55”) and Z93A (77”. Thanks to the integration of Fire TV built in, these TVs revolutionize how you discover and enjoy content, offering a personalized home screen that brings together streaming services, apps, live channels, and tailored recommendations. Superior image and audio quality is at the heart of the Z95A and Z93A thanks to a brand-new chipset and brighter panel. Dolby Vision IQTM Precision delivers superior picture enhancements and brightness, whilst 360 Soundscape Pro, meticulously tuned by Technics, ensures immersive 3D surround sound completes the ultimate sensory entertainment experience. Panasonic’s TV line will also feature Amazon Fire Stick integrated as its operating system. With this collaboration starting in 2024, Panasonic will introduce new products that carry Fire TV as its operating system and unique technologies like content-adaptive image quality, along with improved operability and device integration. Moving forward, the company plans to expand its lineup of Fire TV built in models.
Among it’s most impressive unveils is its new Lumix L mount compatible macro lens. With a new optical design and a newly developed Dual Phase linear motor, the S-E100 is the world’s smallest and lightest medium-telephoto fixed focal length macro lens, weighing approximately 298 grams. It boasts high resolution, stunning bokeh unique to macro lenses, excellent depth in expression, and fast focusing in a chassis matched to our existing F/1.8 series of lenses. At the same time, its compact nature ensures excellent mobility outdoors and in other shooting locations.
TCL
TCL is the number 2 leader of television sales world wide. In 2024 they’re looking to grow even more as they introduce bigger models and more choices for consumers of every purchasing level. At the top of the TCL Q Class will be the new QM7 and QM8 QD Mini LED models. These sets are premium Mini LED utilizing high-zone local dimming and incorporating advanced TCL backlight and processing technologies. The flagship QM8 level will also add a new mega-size 115” model, which will be the world’s
largest QD Mini LED TV. In addition, TCL will expand its 98” QLED TV offering with three new models at theQ6, QM7 and QM8 levels. In S Class, TCL will introduce the new S5. This best-in-class 4K UHD level will offer up to 25% more brightness and for the first time at the S Class level, will incorporate the TCL AIPQ Processor to ensure top level picture quality. For 2024, TCL TV has moved to the next level in Mini LED backlight technology with QD Mini LED, enhanced QLED Color, three levels of TCL AIPQ Processing including in S Class, built-in Multi-Channel TV sound, new features such as Enhanced Dialog Mode for easy listening, improved FullView 360 cosmetic design, which is enhanced from the front, side and rear, and expanded larger sizes including the mega-size 115” screen.
TCL is also using 2024 to explore expansion into the home appliance market with air conditioners, dehumidifiers, and more.
SONY
Sony’s CES featured everything but noteworthy PlayStation announcements. A new partnership with Honda and Microsoft will see the development of A.I based vehicle mobility with the AFEEL. The CEO controlled one of these cars on stage using nothing more than a PS5 Dualsense controller. Sony is also committed to expanding multiple disciplines in the arts.
A new A series camera will be the company’s first full frame mirrorless global shutter camera capable of shooting in 8K. Their Torch Light initiative will see the company build a playground where artist will be able to create in real time using the most advanced Sony tools. Torchlight allows filmmakers to create digital scenes prior to principal photography, in a hands-on virtual environment using Unreal Engine and virtual cameras, including the Virtual Production Tool Set, which seamlessly links virtual environments with on-set production using Sony’s digital cinema VENICE camera They’re showing off a mini-version of the volume powered by Unreal Engine 5’s latest version.
