The event was held at a private residence in Beverly Hills and hosted by Cheryl Hines. Honorees included the environmental accomplishments of Lawrence Bender, climate change activist & producer of An Inconvenient Truth, U.S. Representative Henry Waxman, congressional environmental leader, and Grammy Award-winning Linkin Park, founders of Music for Relief. Proceeds from the gala will benefit the UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability’s research and education efforts.

Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park received a standing ovation for their special acoustic performance of “Shadow Of The Day” and “What I’ve Done.” The star-studded gala also treated guests to a cocktail reception, live auction, dinner and a stand up comedy performance by Bryan Callen to raise money for this great cause.
