The Emmy Awards celebrate the most important staple in life as we know it: television. Some of my best friends are fictional characters and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Without the thrilling storylines and shocking plot twists of our favorite shows to keep us captivated day in and day out, who knows what kinds of mischief we might get ourselves into. We could mess around and end of having to actually speak to other humans, like face to face and stuff.

Fortunately, television’s ninja tight grip is stronger than ever, due mostly to the fact that TV shows are kicking ass right now. I have pretty solid evidence suggesting that binge watching our favorite television shows is at an all time high, and by evidence I’m just referring to how I spend all my weekends…and most of my weeknights.

What better way to celebrate the exceptional efforts of our beloved small screen heroes than by throwing extravagant parities in their favor?? The Audi Emmys Celebration at Cecconi’s kicked off the acclaimed weekend in true Hollywood fashion. Those sticking to their strict champagne diets were in quite good company, as the swanky soiree hosted some of the television elite.

Aaron Paul and his ridiculously gorgeous wife were in attendance as were Emmy winner “Modern Family” co-stars Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen and Sarah Hyland all looking flawless per the usual. “Downton Abbey” star and one of my many lady crushes Michelle Dockery was also taking part in the festivities looking pretty amazing in her lovely green dress and strangely taller than I had anticipated which in turn made my lady crush grow exponentially. I don’t think I’ve ever had the pleasure of being in the presence of so many chiseled cheekbones or twinkling Disney princess eyes. (I’m looking at you, Jesse Metcalf.)

Aside from all the talented attendees which also included Zoe Saldana in all her bun in oven glory, double Emmy winner Allison Janney and Retta, the hilarious star of my current Netflix obsession, “Parks and Recreation,” the Audi party boasted some pretty epic fashion game. While a few missed the mark with the super played out bandage dress that won’t seem to go away, there were a ton of really interesting choices that must be acknowledged. I don’t know what Zoe Saldana was wearing but it was leopard and metallic and she looked like a sassy pregnant gleaming angel and I loved it. “OITNB” star Dascha Polanco looked absolutely gorgeous in a black and gold flowing dress that made her look like a magnificent butterfly. It should also be stated that Dascha’s hair game was just as gold and flowing as her dress and she is therefore a super babe. Fact.

The outfit of the night however, must to go to the stunning unnamed guest who owned every inch of her look. I don’t know who she is but she rocked a black tulle tea length skirt, metallic gold bustier and crimson lip harder than anyone in the building. Shout out to you, you beautiful stranger!

As the stars partied the night away, dancing to sick beats and gearing up for what spoils the weekend may hold, it was clear, the Audi Emmy Celebration was definitely the perfect way to kick off one of the most exciting events in television.
