Last night, Stranger Things World Tour stopped in Los Angeles where Netflix celebrated the world premiere of Stranger Things 3 with stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Dacre Montgomery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Cara Buono, Cary Elwes, Brett Gelman, Andrey Ivchenko, Joe Chrest, Francesca Reale, Jake Busey along with Stranger Things 3 creators, executive producers and directors The Duffer Brothers.

The Event Details

Netflix transformed Santa Monica High School into Hawkins High complete with a marching band, cheerleaders and thousands of screaming fans.

After the premiere, cast and fans headed to the Santa Monica Pier, where they were transported to the Summer of 1985 in Hawkins, IN with a sneak peek at Netflix’s consumer experience – Stranger Things 3 Fun Fair.

At the premiere and after-party carnival were Jaden Smith, Ashley Tisdale, Marsai Martin, Chloe & Halle Bailey, Cody Simpson, Logan Browning, Blake Jenner, Jackie Cruz, Rumer Willis, Tallulah Willis, Jessica Marie Garcia, Sierra Capri, Diego Tinoco, Jason Genao, Marcel Ruiz, Ethan Herisse, Maxwell Jenkins, Jonathan Bennett, Alyson Stoner, and many more!

Highlights from the premiere after party carnival included:

  • Millie Bobby Brown, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Natalia Dyer and Maya Hawke were the first ones on the dance floor, tearing it up to some of the biggest hits from the 80s. Broll footage of the dance floor available HERE.
  • Gaten Matarazzo and Caleb McLaughlin taking a spin around the Shark Frenzy ride, and later joined by Noah Schnapp to test their limits on the Seaside Swing
  • Sadie Sink and Noah Schnapp trying their luck at carnival games like ring toss, balloon pops, dunk tank, and rat splat
  • Guests indulging in delicious late-night ice cream served from the Scoops Ahoy! Truck.
  • Special performances from Daisy O’Dell and the Santa Monica High School Marching Band
  • LEGO activations at the premiere include the Large Mystery Mural Community Build (attendees were invited to contribute pieces to a mural that celebrates the upcoming season), Photo Opps with iconic brick-built props including waffles and walkie talkie; and the LEGO Stranger Things: The Upside Down, a 2,287 piece set packed with details from the show.

Stranger Things 3 launches globally on Netflix, July 4th

Netflix has brought the Stranger Things 3 Fun Fair to the Santa Monica Pier where fans can enjoy immersive experiences straight out of Hawkins. The Stranger Things 3 Fun Fair at the Santa Monica Pier is open Saturday, June 29 through Sunday, June 30 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

It’s 1985 in Hawkins, Indiana, and summer’s heating up. School’s out, there’s a brand new mall in town, and the Hawkins crew are on the cusp of adulthood. Romance blossoms and complicates the group’s dynamic, and they’ll have to figure out how to grow up without growing apart. Meanwhile, danger looms. When the town’s threatened by enemies old and new, Eleven and her friends are reminded that evil never ends; it evolves.
